PLANNING AND RESEARCH.

Planning and research are like PROJECTS but more free-form.

PROJECTS.

Projects spawn lots of activity because you’re trying to get something done that has a lot of little things to get stuff done as milestones along the way. Projects tend to be collaborative too so they are well suited for a system like METANOTES.

RESPONSIBILITIES.

Sometimes it’s your duty to take notes or to think. If you have a paper due or a research project to brainstorm look to METANOTES as a way to kick-start the process.

CONVERSATIONS.

When people encounter one another they have conversations. METANOTES with its note-chat feature is a new conversation tool. This tool leaves useful content in its wake and is optimized for multithreaded conversations with built-in timeshifting (in other words you can leave notes for people to respond to later.

TEAMS.

Teams tend to draw you back into METANOTES. For instance we’re determined to draw Matt back into METANOTES because he’s part of our team and we need him.

Circles form when a group wants to create a “third space” to conduct group activities like research, brainstorming, planning, projects.

Discovering new friends is part of the fun (or tedium) of setting up your social network on any new platform. Also, friends create “news” that populates your “news feed”. Finally, friends discover links and other content and are broadcasting it to their friends constantly.

Targeted, in-depth content – especially when frequently updated and centered around an important or intriguing interest – brings people back and gets people talking. Expertise, outrageous style, humor, video, and sex are perennial favorites.

i mean outside the unamerican/stickernation audience, which i’ll bring on board a little later…

...and remember, students won’t be that interested until back-to-school in a “new notetaking platform”....

so I use it in this industrial strength way right now.

2) who of all psychographic and demographic segments are most likely to be like me in my head?
