we used to have so many stores

  • it’s an election year after eight years of slimeballs in charge
  • james once handled 300+ stores
    • but after he left we never got the custserv knack again
    • what a disappointment candace turned out to be
  • independent stores have become entrenched and viable
  • they can all be reached by email and web these days
    • not to mention faxing them catalog updates
  • we have a competence with tradeshows a-building after that web award and i want to do MAGIC with you next year
  • i live within striking distance of Hot Topic and all sorts of socal stores

stickernation operations should move to asheville

we’re just getting such awful custserv right now. it is my fault to such a great degree that i simply must try and separate myself and hand it all over to you and matt.

we are going to be doing all kinds of things to drive stickernation sales this year:
  • we have a totally new site, with the whole “preview your sticker in a given font” thing enabled.
  • we have a facebook widget a-building, which will enable collaborative stickerbuying.
  • and of course, i am going to use metanotes heavily to promote stickernation
    • plus money that is earned from metanotes will be used to finally email sample stickers to all those SN CATALOG requests.

all of this means that our operations in stickernation must be in tip top shape. all of this is on hold as long as custserv is such a problem.

amanda i would love to show you exactly how to design stickers. if you were handling the entire order process i could focus on driving sales. that’s how i believe we should proceed.

sales ?

i want to transition you and matt to the role of marketing and sales. john fischer is of the opinion that he should run the fulfillment end of unamerican. if i could shift you and matt to marketing and sales activities – for which i am happy to continue paying you both on an hourly basis plus a commission – that would be the best way for the companies to proceed.

payment from john fischer

  • i believe i can negotiate john into paying us an upfront payment to cover transition costs if stickergiant were to assume the backend.
  • this payment of course would pay for shipping our inventory to boulder co
  • this payment also should pay for us to print catalogs and other collateral to communicate the new unamerican to stores and customers alike
    • it should pay for direct mail
    • it should pay for some advertising too
