the first circles i create should be really good discussion topics.

right now they’re like generic folders. they should be more like

things i want people to livenote.

like “tv” or “classes” or “breaking news”.

if i begin a team, i want it to be a lot like a circle.

i want my team to have a single “account” which acts as a third space among all of our accounts.

a “third space” means: it’s like Starbucks – not my house or your house, but we meet at Starbucks.

that way when i create notes that pertain to research that everyone should see, they’re created in spaces in this third space.

it’s a circle.

i just want only my team to see or participate in these spaces.

unless it’s an open source project of course.

those are free.

but maybe we can charge for private circles of greater than eight users.

these private circles are TEAMS.

i need to log out, create account, log out, create account, etc. until all the new circles are created.

then i need to contact beppu, and wait.

and then, finally, i can send out a listblast about the new circles.

these do not get put in EVERYONE’S circle menu but they are circles nonetheless.

perhaps a circle for subjects that you can post questions or helpful tips and whatnot for classes you may be taking or interested in taking for all of us students on metanotes.

beppu-san is going to be creating the correct functionality for the circle concept presently.

i created this space so we could brainstorm about the kinds of discussions we want to see.

Favorite youtube videos? its a good idea but once the site gets bigger, it’ll quickly turn into a bad idea

A fan site circle this would also be huge, maybe have “actor fansite circle”, “music fansite circle”, each space would be for a different band, actor etc.

• a circle is sort of its own forum, like a DailyKos.
• different spaces in the circle are like different threads.
• favorite youtube videos MIGHT work, because people could start different threads, but I’d rather youtube videos were suffused throughout all the circles based on their themes, rather than just “look ! cool vid !”
